Its the end of the world as we know it (and i feel fine...)

I have always felt that 1999 was the greatest year in the history of civilization, probably second only to the years when the wheel and fire were invented (and discovered)(respectively).

I don't know if it was the common perception of impending doom, the feeling of now or never, or just an overall sense of prophetic fulfillment of potential amongst people, for it just seems that everything that is good about the human experience had reached its peak that year.A collective social high.

And one such crest was definitely crossed in the realm of movies. For, 1999 was definitely the year that changed the face of cinema forever. Just sifting through the list of movies released that year, makes you wonder if people really thought there was no tomorrow, so they put all their efforts in that one momentous year.

Here's a sample of movies released in 1999.

1. American Beauty
2. The Sixth Sense

Mr. Rubik made money by complicating my life.

Right first and foremost, the Kafkaesque nature of this writing is intentional, albeit without the impending doom. Its like taking a leak when you are piss drunk - You don't know where you're aiming it..but frankly, you don't care, or control.

But isn't it better that way? Is it not better to not have a premise, a niche, a category, a focus!! As i see it.having focus gives you direction, and then you have to follow those directions..and of all the places in the world where you would think that you don't have to follow any orders or directions, and be the master of your own words..
You would think your own freaking blog is one of them!

Which brings me to Mr. Erno Rubik. I don't know about anyone else.. but i rejoice when i see seven colors in a rainbow all at once.
